Malaysian cement giant selects CP
YTL Cement (Terminal Services, Singapore), a subsidiary of YTL Corporation Berhad, one of the largest manufacturers of Cement in Malaysia has awarded a contract to Claudius Peters Projects GmbH. YTL Corporation was founded in 1955 and has grown tremendously into a global utilities player. The scope of supply comprises a multi storage silo with 7 cells for ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) and blended cement with a total volume of 19700 m³, a storage silo for cement with a volume of 21.000 m³, as well as 6 truck loading stations for a capacity of 200 t/h each and the corresponding automation for the silos. Within the cement terminal the GGBS and cement will be mixed to several different mixed cements with up to 70 % of GGBS. Several options for a later installation of a third storage silo, smaller steel silos and an installation of a packing plant have to be taken into account for the design of the installation. The plant equipment will be installed at Jurong Port in Singapore near the existing cement terminals at Pulau Damar Laut. Jurong port is a state-of-the-art port and has already won numerous awards.
