CP supply fly ash storage and mixing "techniks" to new Dutch terminal
Vliegasunie BV recently awarded a contract to Claudius Peters (CP) to supply three silos together with a mixing and loading system for a new fly ash terminal to be constructed in Moerdijk, in the Netherlands.
The terminal will handle different types of fly ash discharged from ships to be stored in one CP Multicell silo with a diameter of 19.5m and 6 cells 1670m³ each (total 10000m³). Fly ash is blended in a high-capacity 150 t/h continuous CP mixer.
The resulting saleable fly ash products will then be stored in two single cell CP silos each with a diameter of 19.5m and capacity of 10.000m³ . These products are used in different applications such as cement plants.
Start-up of the plant is scheduled for the beginning of 2013 with foundation work now underway. CP’s supply also includes the mechanical and electrical works, including erection and commissioning.
Vliegasunie BV placed the order with Claudius Peters following a visit to the Claudius Peters Technikum (Technical Centre) in Buxtehude Germany earlier this year where a full scale silo section was successfully demonstrated under operating conditions.
