Claudius Peters Announces New Managing Director

Claudius Peters, the cement plant, alumina, gypsum and materials handling specialist, announced today that it has appointed Mr Reiner Fruehling as its new Managing Director. Mr Fruehling, currently the group’s Sales Director, will move into the post on 1st January 2010, when the current Managing Director, Alfred Rothlaender, stands down to take a non-executive role in the company until mid 2010, before going into retirement.

Fluent in English and Norwegian, as well as his native German language, Mr Fruehling, 54, joined Claudius Peters in 1980 as a design engineer, progressing to head the design department before moving into international sales in coal and mineral grinding equipment and to Sales Director in 2002.

In the role of Managing Director he will be responsible for Claudius Peters’ headquarters operations in Germany and for its international network of subsidiaries. He is married with one daughter and two sons. His hobbies include travelling and all kinds of sport.
