Leading global Gypsum giant installs new Claudius Peters EM Mill

Gyproc Saint Gobain, one of the world’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of interior building systems, has commissioned a new Claudius Peters type EM 65-592 grinding and drying mill, to be installed at its Gyproc Balsta plant in Sweden.

The project, which includes dismantling of the existing mill and erection of the new one within a tight 6 week time frame, incorporates cutting edge technology in the form of Claudius Peters’ newly developed hydraulic tensioning system for highly accurate adjustment of grinding pressure.

This system, installed here for the very first time, has been specially developed to optimize the efficiency of the grinding and drying processes and also to ensure easy maintenance.

The very latest EM 65-592 grinding and drying mill technology to be installed at Gyproc Balsta's plant in Sweden.

Now set as standard equipment for all new plants, the system is also available as a retrofit. Claudius Peters Sales Director Mr Stephan Oehme said: “This new EM drying and grinding mill, representing the very latest in technology from Claudius Peters, delivers unprecedented levels of efficiency and precision. We are delighted to be partnering with Gyproc Saint Gobain in this project."

Commissioning of the new mill is planned for the middle of July 2016.

The Claudius Peters company was established in Hamburg, Germany, in 1906 by its eponymous founder. The company, which employs around 600 people, has been part of the British engineering group, Langley Holdings plc, since 2001.
