Cesla cement plant Russia increases production
Slantsev cement plant "Cesla" OJSC was founded in the early 1960s in the city of Slantsy in the Leningrad region, 170 kilometers from St. Petersburg. Since 2001, the cement plant has been part of the HeidelbergCement Group in Russia, with a production capacity of about 0,8 mln tons of cement per year.
In recent years, the plant introduced several projects aimed at modernization of the plant. HeidelbergCement is now investing in the construction of a second production line at Cesla cement plant. It was recently reported the project will increase the nominal production capacity of the plant up to 1.2 million tons of cement per year.
Claudius Peters will be supplying four silo conversions and the new a new loading plant, consisting of 4 loading bins. As part of the modification works, the storage silos will be equipped with new bottom aeration and new discharge system.

To convey the cement to the new loading plants, Claudius Peters will install 2 FLUIDCON lines each, with a capacity of 300 t/h each, supplied with Claudius Peters X-pumps. Four truck loading plants with a capacity of 200 t/h will also be installed.
The Claudius Peters company was established in Hamburg, Germany, in 1906 by its eponymous founder. The company, which employs around 600 people, has been part of the British engineering group, Langley Holdings plc, since 2001.
