Rotary Drum Cooler

Unveiled: The next generation in stucco cooling from Claudius Peters

New Rotary Drum Cooler set to reduce plant energy costs

A next-generation Rotary Drum Cooler (RDC) from Claudius Peters is set to deliver significant energy cost reductions for plant owners and operators, with a raft of new features to optimize the gypsum calcining process and decrease maintenance requirements.

Operating on the counter-current indirect principle, the RDC, capable of handling up to100 tonnes of product per hour, enables cooling air to be re-used as preheated combustion air for the hot gas generator, with resultant reduction in plant energy costs.

During the cooling process, the RDC enables homogenization of materials, with reduction of unwanted calcining by-products such as soluble anhydrites and dehydrates.

Claudius Peters Managing Director Mr Reiner Fruehling said:

“We are proud to have been supplying the gypsum industry with cutting-edge products for more than 20 years. Our Rotary Drum Cooler deploys state-of-the-art technology to maximise plant efficiency by reducing maintenance and energy costs.”
